GreyhoundNews will be making its "Long Shot Labor Day Weekend" Road Trip September 3, 4 and 6 visiting Daytona Beach Kennel Club (9/3 evening), Orange Park Kennel Club ( 9/4 evening) and Palm Beach Kennel Club (9/6 matinee).
During the trip, we will be posting track updates, race selections from myself and "Post Time Perry", video and photos from three great greyhound racing venues on Florida's East Coast via Twitter (http://www.Twitter.com/GreyhoundNews) to give our followers a virtual feel of a day at the track. Our first stop, Daytona Beach Kennel Club offers year round live racing in their new $30 million state of the art facility. We will also be trying to win our share of their guaranteed $3,000 Tri Super which is forced out every Friday evening. Destination #2 will be Orange Park Kennel Club where we will be LIVE for the 2010 James J. Patton Silver Cup Marathon Stakes Final. Over 600 driving miles later, we will complete our journey at Palm Beach Kennel Club, highlighted by the $20,000 Galllagher/Kinnaird Puppy Stakes Final. This is a special race for me since I had the pleasure of working alongside Buck Kinnaird during my first professional job with the Montreal Expos when we shared a Spring Training facility with the Atlanta Braves.
